Act according to the will of God

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Having lived through multiple waves of the pandemic, here we are in the fifth wave now. Again, face-to-face lessons were suspended and were switched back to the online mode. The school campus was devitalised all of a sudden. The energy, the youthful exuberances were sapped savagely. On this campus, there left the S6 students who strived for excellence in their public exams, working hard on their mock papers.

Despite the temporary halt of face-to-face teaching, let us be grateful for God's arrangements as everything operated smoothly on campus since October when various school activities could be fully launched, including multiple excursions, inter-school competitions, the Gospel Week and the S6 Thanksgiving and Farewell Assembly. The campus was once instilled with vibrant colours and I believe that such temporary obstacle will not obstruct our determination in sustaining efficient learning and teaching!

God is full of grace and we always witness this with joy. According to the School Value-add Information released recently, our school achieved positive value-addition in the four core subjects as well as other electives in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) 2021. This served as the fruit of the effort paid by our teachers and students. Apart from remarkable results in the public exam, we received active participation in the enrollment for the School Information Day held in December. On that day, more than a hundred of Primary 6 students attended our trial lessons while their parents had a school tour and nice chats with our teachers and student ambassadors. We were delighted to receive rapturous acclaim from these visitors. Soon in January when the application for S1 discretionary places opened, the enthusiastic responses from parents were once again manifested with the reception of over 400 application forms.

May all the glory be given to our Heavenly Father God! Amen.
