Most schools release HKDSE results online Some students are satisfied with their results
The results of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination have been released. Most schools release the results of the HKDSE Examination through the Internet, while some schools open their campuses for students to return to their schools.
At a secondary school in Chai Wan, students and their parents came to the school early in the morning to wait for the release of results through the Internet. The school also opened the auditorium for students to receive on-the-spot counselling on further studies. In a secondary school in Sham Shui Po, the school office was opened at around 8 a.m. for students to collect their result slips, and teachers returned to the school for counselling.
Due to the impact of the outbreak of Candidatus Pneumonia, the Government has earlier requested schools to avoid allowing students to return to school on the release day of the HKDSE Examination, and suggested releasing the result notices through the Internet or electronic means. If students are allowed to return to school, diversion measures should be taken.
Some students expressed nervousness and were satisfied with their results.
Mr Mak, a HKDSE candidate, said, "This is the first time in my life that the HKDSE results have been released. I left home two hours earlier than usual and woke up at 6am. I will probably only have a meal with my family to celebrate."
Yen, a HKDSE candidate of the current year, said, "I'm very happy with the results I've achieved. I will probably hug and kiss my mum."
