Report from Sing Tao Daily about a planned field trip for high school students studying civic education and social development in China. The first batch of schools is expected to depart as early as next month. Some school principals have indicated that after confirming the itinerary, they will arrange for some accompanying teachers to visit China in advance to understand the key attractions and experiences, and to plan how to guide students' thinking. Before the students depart, group discussions and data collection will be arranged, with the hope that they will approach the trip with questions in mind.

The Director of Education, Choi Yeuk-lin, led a visiting group to various civic education field trip sites. All secondary schools in Hong Kong have submitted their intentions for the field trips, and it is planned for fourth and fifth-year students to participate from next month until the end of the school year. This year marks the first time the civic education field trips are being organized, and some schools have arranged for teachers to experience the trips to China in advance.

One school, Po Leung Kuk Yao Ling Sun College, plans to visit Shenzhen to allow students to experience the "one-hour living circle of the Greater Bay Area." The principal emphasized the importance of teachers being well-prepared and understanding the specific learning objectives of the trip in order to guide students' thinking effectively. The school also plans to arrange for students to set the exploration direction of the field trip through group discussions, focusing on specific issues and encouraging them to approach the trip with questions in mind.

Another school, CNEC Lau Wing Sang Secondary School, indicated that teachers had already made plans and collected information when selecting the itinerary. They believe that online resources are sufficient for teachers to prepare for the trip, and their future work will mainly involve assisting students in preparing for the trip.

The scale of this civic education field trip is larger than previous ones and is the first of its kind. The schools hope to have more opportunities for experience sharing and exchange in the future.

The visiting group, led by the Director of Education, Choi Yeuk-lin, visited various civic education field trip sites in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, accompanied by representatives from the education sector. They visited several places, including the Shenzhen Qianhai International Conference Center, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory, and the Pearl River Delta Development Exhibition Center in Nansha, Guangzhou. The visiting group will continue their trip today.
