Principal's Message
Running Toward Jesus — Higher Aspirations, Further Horizons
This school year, our teachers initiated a holistic body‑and‑soul training activity called Run To Jesus. Our teachers are committed to accompanying students through running, prayer, and sharing both their faith and their academic struggles. By supporting one another, we encourage students to "run and never give up," setting higher and further goals for themselves in response to this year's theme: “Strive to Study. Dare to Dream.” We firmly believe that “Running Toward Jesus” is also a declaration filled with spiritual power —representing the act of casting off burdens, turning back to God, and seeking a renewed life.
In the Bible, running toward Jesus is often linked with faith and reward, as seen in Hebrews 12:1–2:
“Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
And in Philippians 3:13–14 also reminds us:
“But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
As teachers and students run together with faith and set aside the heavy burdens of academic pressure, we not only build stronger bonds and healthier bodies but also learn to hold fast to our objectives—striving toward the finish line of university admissions and the realization of future dreams. Beyond running on campus, we also ventured outside, from Central to the newly completed East Coast Park Precinct under the Island Eastern Corridor, enjoying the new facilities and the beautiful scenery along Victoria Harbour.
Never giving up has yield fruit : in the 2025 HKDSE Value‑Added Report, our students continued to achieve high value‑added performance in the “Core Three Subjects” and “Best Five Subjects,” with most other examined subjects also showing strong value‑added results. Our teachers have spared no effort, remaining steadfast in their teaching roles and accompanying our graduating students as they overcome an array of challenges.
With this, may all glory and praise be given to our Heavenly Father. Amen.
